I’m tickled, on this episode of Minnesota’s Most Notorious, to be joined by author, poet and nonagenarian Betty Gove. She talks about an infamous and tragic Minnesota murder, taken directly from her own family history.
Josefina Olson was stabbed to death by her jealous father Ole on the eve before her wedding day in 1902 outside of Aitkin, MN.

I just found this and I’m trying to get it to play! Josephine’s fiancé Alfred was my great grandfather. The story has been passed down through our family, and I’ve been looking into it lately. Excited to find this, and hopefully I can get it to work!
Hi Kory – I’m not sure what’s going on, because it’s playing for me. Maybe try in a different browser or on a different device?
