MoNo Classics: “The Irishman”: Mob Hitman Frank Sheeran, the Kennedys and Jimmy Hoffa w/ Charles Brandt

Show Notes: Released 9/ 3/2017. This was an enjoyable interview with Charles Brandt – before the Netflix movie his book was based on came out. Charles definitely has the personality and the accent to tell this story in an incredible fashion, and I was honored to have him on the show.

My guest is Charles Brandt, the author of bestselling book I Heard You Paint Houses, now a Martin Scorsese film with Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci. He tells the story of Frank “the Irishman” Sheeran, a hitman who goes to work for famed mob boss Russell Bufalino and Teamsters president Jimmy Hoffa in the 1950s and 60s. According to confessions by Sheeran to Brandt, he was involved in three of the most famous murders of their era – President John Kennedy, Jimmy Hoffa and “Crazy” Joe Gallo.
